PARIS INTIMATE

A collection of photographs from our first two weeks in Paris.
I love the intimate details that set a city apart from others and captured as much of this as I could. We have a pleasant view the Eiffel Tower from our apartment so its unavoidable that I would snap a few shots.
Hope you enjoy.

These pics are sooo good - the statues look like they will step out of the foto and become real people any minute now! Medusa is pretty scary. I love the black and white shot of the tower - it looks like an old vintage postcard from the city of Romance ...
I'm loving this trip!

wow, your photography is amazing!

I went to the pompidou when i was there, too. Did you see any homeless people sleeping out the back? We did. At first we weren't sure if it was a performance art installation, but we decided it was real. There was a really amazing art installation when we went there, plus I got to see Joseph Bueys Infiltation-Homogen for a Grand Piano, which delighted me, but I forgot to bring my camera.

But the homeless in France seem pretty well-liked. One day we saw this businessman and a homeless man sharing a bottle of cheap wine and chatting.

Thanks for the kind words about my shots- guess the place is inpiring me. (I just snap and don't crop in Photoshop..don't even have Photoshop!)

Laura- I did see the homeless (young) men at the back of the Pompidou- Indeed I thought it was a 'happening' as well....until one asked for a cigarette. The homeless seem to get a bit of money as everyone supports their local beggar. (We do back in Newtown- Terry always has a coffee and a sandwich)

Can you send me a ticket? We'll steal a bike and ride past all the statues. The 6th shot down could look a bit like an older version of you - if he shaved his beard a bit. What do you reckon Don? ;) Maybe he's a bit too serious. Fabulous shots! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us! Everyone is obviously loving it!
