BASTILLE DAY

Last days of Paris included Bastille Day fireworks witnessed with Champagne from the balcony with partner and friend, Jan, from Sydney.
An afternoon stroll beforehand as the sun setted became an holiday snap paradise.

Just arrived in Berlin. Dramatic change of scenery. All good.

Once again fab pics for us poor schleps at home to enjoy! What is the story with all those padlocks - intriguing AND looks amazing. Can't wait to enjoy Berlin along with you - the Wall was still in place when I visited -I wonder how different it must be now. Lots to see and enjoy.I seem to remember a particularly cosy Irish pub ....
Have fun!

Laura- Thanks, Paris is very beautiful and well worth visiting.

Jenny- Thank you. Berlin is SO different- polar opposite.

Sue- The locks? Once this (only) footbridge was built couples started putting their names on locks, attaching them the the bridge and throwing the keys into the water. It really caught on!

Ah Paris - the city of Romance - padlocks and hearts bound together forever! Thanks for the explanation!

I'm really enjoying your photos. Paris looks so beautiful, I will probably never get to visit the beautiful city so your images are the next best thing.
Hope that you and Denise have a super time in Berlin.
