Some people take photos of the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame while in Paris- not me. You have seen them, I have seen them. On every postcard there they are. Magnificent as they are, the heart of Paris, or any city, is in its streets.
From the world-famous artist Invader, below, to beautifully rendered meerkats, above, I give you a weeks worth of Parisian graffiti.

Wow, some of those images are pretty amazing.
Great pics! I only found out they had great graffiti after I'd already been there. I don't think I saw any
What amazing street art!!! Thanks for posting those! (much more interesting than the eiffel tower!)
nice pics.
first thought, are you two going to leave any? add some.
great post
The meerkat steals the show ! I appreciate your view of Paris. As you say we've all seen the Eiffel Tower.
Very cool! Are these respected by The Authorities, or could the artist be busted if caught?
et à chaque trip .. des nouveaux graffittis à paris.. ils sont très actifs..
Merci bien! Thanks everyone. I love graffiti- (non tags!)
Jily- not sure of the legal ramifications...French are very relaxed as opposed to Australian when it comes to many things like smoking, dogs and food preparation- perhaps it is the same for graffiti.
hmm I don't think so Don.
I think there is a part of laziness from authorities. Don't know if you cared, but french do prefer to rebuild than to repaint or even wash their building. It can be a mess sometimes.
Also, I used to hear something from my socio teacher: french are good to interiorize norms. I'm still considering the idea that it would be why there is not so much law enforcing and apparently relaxing way of doing here than, say, english speakin' countries.
Well, that's all for the sociology minute of the day dudes!
Oh and I especially like the one which say "Z H C EST MON DIEU". Give a deliquescent impression to me, like if printed on burning paper or somthing. Good night!
Thank you for your very different view of Paris.
LOVE the meerkat and gargoyle- they'd be wonderful prints for the home. I've been enjoying Paris photos this week, yours and a dear friend's, though she is apparently addicted to statuary.
:)
absolutely beautiful!
This is a random question, and I don't know if you'll read/answer this, but what does your wallet look like?
I admire every person's sense of style, and I am always amazed to see what people carry their money, cards, etc in.
I've seen your totes/canvas carryalls, but I was just curious.
Looking forward to reading more soon!
Jack- Thanks so much for dropping by. as to your question- I have a vintage US dollar silver money clip where I just keep my cash- very Wall St (without the bulging cash alas...although carrying Australia/ Euro And Honk Kong denominations for the fun of it at the moment.
I also wear a black leather necklace see:

Julien- Thanks for your contribution.
Michaele- Great idea! They would certainly be cool as prints.
My favorite type of art, Don. Thanks for posting. -sus
Wow- pretty amazing graffiti, indeed! What else would one expect of Paris, right? The meercat is especially wonderful! I enjoyed seeing these much more than more photos of the Eiffel Tower; thank you!
We feel the same way when we are in Paris - our photos are of graffiti or textures of walls or oddities. I love seeing your take on the same subject.
