Wool Modern Exhibition

I have just returned from the amazing Wool Modern exhibition in Sydney. It is a touring show to promote wool and is part of The Campaign For Wool. The idea is to encourage the use of wool in fashion, textiles and interior design to aid a flagging industry. Wool is one of the most sustainable and natural fibres in the world.

Modern, innovative and avant garde use of wool in fashion and interior design is the focus of the show. I highly recommend seeing it if you get a chance as it is touring the world.

The standard of talent is just amazing- the best international and local talent is featured. The building itself is beautiful too- the old pier and storehouse jutting onto Sydney Harbour.

Below is just some of the pieces on display.

What an interesting exhibition, my eyes are instantly drawn to colour - Paul Smith's electrifying blue suit and Sibling's piece. Nice.

Thank you for posting this. I'd already seen adverts for this exhibition and I'm going to make sure I get to see it. I love the Vivienne Westwood coat but I'm not so sure about the black eggs with fur on top ..

For the lovers of wool, I have a bunch of pictures from a 'Knitwear in fashion' exhibit from last year on Flickr.

Starting from here :)
