The 1000 Steampunk Creations has just been released and it's a wonderful looking book. Jam-packed with beautiful and bizarre looking artwork, jewellery, contraptions and clothing.
Seems so long ago since I submitted but there I was, in full colour...
I decided to make some pieces in the Steampunk style once more...

Your work looks fantastic in the publication, full colour fabulousness!
I'm excited to see your new creations. Are those pieces from a cuckoo clock that you have used on the wall piece?
Thank you for kind words and for the photos, very much appreciated.
Ouah, it look smashing !
I know an old mann, here, who use clock material to make *pictures* : locomotives, cars, or anything like this. He sels his frames in artisanat markets. In Switzerland it might be not so difficult to found the good, with all the factories around.
Your creations are very intersting. Compliment for the book.
Azirca,
If only I could find Cuckoo clocks! Those metal filigree pieces I have had for about 10 years- goes to show you should never throw anything out.
Beatrice. Thanks. Only cheap replica clocks around here.

Congrats - that is so cool and so deserved. Your work is absolutly stunning!
des réalisations et créations magnifiques.. ceci me donne envie d'inclure de nouveau les yeux dans ma peinture..
Don, that's some beautiful stuff! Well done! Your skill with assemblage is really enviable, and the rye whimsy you've injected is a wonderful touch! I hope that you continue to make gorgeous stuff like this--it's really quite lovely and haunting (in a way) as well.
There is an interesting sense of "applied history" to each of your works that isn't integral to the pieces but supplied by the viewer... We (well, at least I do) look at them with a sense of familiarity but distance... It's like they "reference" something I know, but are clearly not of that thing I'm reminded of... It's very cool, Don. It's an interesting sensation... :)
Well done! Keep up the good work!
