Peter from wonderful blog Male Pattern Boldness recently interviewed me regarding sewing and specifically jeans. He is a wonderful writer and a true sewing inspiration. If you love sewing, or just want to read a great blog have a look.
From the Vault...
I was making a few clothes many years ago.
Finally found the photos again. A bit of a blast from the early 2000's.
And yes, that is a pair of jeans turned upside down with a zip in it- may have to make a new version of that skirt.
Have a great week.
Don

Oh I am loving the time warp - great to revisit old creations and chart your evolution - who would have thunk it - from upside down jean-skirts to the hoodies and dresses of 2011?!
And I meant to say - it is a great interview too!
I'm sure the early 2000's weren't kind to anybody, but this is great haha.
I guess I was too young to enjoy them
love the skirts
love this 'from the vault' post... going to read the interview - i love how you build with denim...
I can see the Cocteau influence in the top t-shirts!
Great interview and I hopped right over to check out your blog...awesome work, I love the jeans transformations and your take on jeans period. I have added you to my blog roll so expect to hear from me often. Hope you will stop by:

Cool photos and cooler creations. Your love of sewing and creativity in that arena is not a mere flash in the pan! Glad you shared.
Neat. And how funny to think of early 2000's as nostalgic. Where does the time go?
Nice interview Don!

That is a great idea for a skirt!
the blast from the past design line is wonderful, but what i'm really enjoying are both model's expressions.
la révolution du jean. Why not, original idea.
