IS THIS A PAIR OF SCISSORS WHICH I SEE BEFORE ME?

I'm a tight-arse. I admit it.
Very rarely do I splash out on new things.
I'm trying to change that.

Being abundant goes both ways. Spend freely and money shall flow back to you. It's the power of the universe and all that.

Splashed out in a big way today and got the universal flow going. Kai 7300 professional dressmaking shears.

Twelve inches of high carbon molybdenum vanadium stainless steel cutting bliss.

Beautiful tools mean you are committed to your craft. Beautiful tools lead to beautiful workmanship and a value in what you create.
Excalibur was a beautiful tool and this is mine.
Behold! Excalibur!

Do you have beautiful tools? Does your craft or art deserve them?

my very first sewing gift was a pair of gingher shears, reallllly nice ones, from mom-in-law. i have since hacked into a metal pin with them. i felt like the world was ending.

Ooooo Nice scissors! Excalibur indeed!
Years ago before I became the frugal queen I invested in a pair of really nice sewing scissors and some pinking shears, they still work great, it was absolutely a good investment.
Now get to sewing! I want to see more of your fabulous creations.

The shears we had to buy for our fashion course were a small fortune! they are huge and heavy and solid metal. but they cut any fabric like butter. these shears should last more than your lifetime, we must worship our scissors, they bring you closer to sewing nirvana than you can even imagine!

Kim: Too true. It's our reward.

Steufel: You deserve them!

Amanda: The name is pretty cool. Like a racing car.

Bob: They are both!

Oonaballoona:Ouch!

Sidreal Day: Thanks. I hear you!

Grant: You know the pleasure.

I love my tools so much that I hide them from other members of the household less they treat them inappropriately! Woe betide the poor fool who tries to use my sewing scissors to cut paper ....

Seth: Thanks, they really are my baby.
Sue: I know what you mean: When I caught my partner using my $40 sewing scissors to open a parcel I was furious. She's not even allowed to LOOK at these.

mmm those are gorgeous. A decent pair of scissors really does make cutting of fabric a joy rather than a chore... as I found when I bought my own Klasse shears.. ok nothing too flash but they cut through fabric as if it were butter!

My "craft" is psychotherapy and although I don't use tangible tools per se, I did put a lot of effort into making the office cozy and inviting so that it feels like sitting in someone's den to talk rather than an office or clinic. I do think what you use for your work matters.

This post should be called 'scissor porn' or 'Donward Scissor Hands' perhaps?

On brocantes, Know, you can see wood work old tools.
