Wearing A Triangle- Pattern Magic 2

The beautiful and curious Japanese book Pattern Magic 2 has taken it's hold of me. I absolutely love the whole process of working from this book. From drafting the patterns to the exploration of shape to seeing the finished piece it is truly a wonderful journey.

This is Wearing a Triangle and it really is a triangle with arms. Four panels make the piece.

It is art and clothing in one.

Modeled by my good friend Kyoko.
I'm already onto the next one- Twist Turn Top made with unusual and brilliant pattern pieces.

The object of my desire:

Thank goodness it's been translated. Not so with the present I received today from my model- the book Drape Drape 2 :

Studying up on written Japanese tonight.

Merci.
Un petit coucou de Lausanne.

Wow, these projects totally break my brain. ;) Drape Drape now, especially two, has drool-worthy patterns... If I could figure out how to source it here I would totally nab it! ;)

Don, that is just fantastic! But aren't you worried about poking someone in the eye with that thing? ;)

Oooh, I am contemplating a triangle design too. I have an olive green army blanket remnant, I need to cut out the design from something else to see if I have enough to pursue it. Will be interesting to compare them!
