Pattern Magic 2- Wearing A Square

My first sewing project from the amazing book

Wearing A Square is pure origami.

Crazy looking to start with, I put a very long zipper in the

front and elongated the sleeves.

Fabric is a lined rayon. Odd shape. Odd fabric. If it were not for the four underarm gussets the jacket would be one piece of fabric.

Next to sew is Wearing A Triangle which makes this look tame. Stay tuned!

Also, my Giveaway is still running- be in it to win it.

You make the craziest things look not only smashing, but perfectly reasonable! Well done (once again :) )

Completely nuts.
And definitely not square.

This is quite cool~~but boy did I grin at the photo of you with the zipper covering your head! Does your partner take these pics? Does she laugh at your antics? Can't wait for the triangle~~

And on a windy day you could add string and make it a kite!

I'm liking the transformation from square to garment .... and admiring the rusty backdrop.

Awesome!!! I too look forward to the triangle. I think this might also persuade my son that the sewing machine is not just for girls!!

I love the photos. I find myself imagining that you are looking down at the jacket in a kind of shock.

It is a great shape. Can you lift your arms? I love extra long sleeves.

I like it a lot! I love the super long zipper and when it is unzipped a bit, it is sort of like a hood without the extra fabric.

that's how you wear a square, but what don't you look good in? It's just not fair, I'm 20 and smashing and i would look like a bag of potatoes in that! kudos.
