WolframAlpha

Have you heard about WolframAlpha? There is nothing on the site now but soon questions may be posed and WolframAlpha will answer it.
It doesn't find documents, like Google, but actually knows the information by: "explicitly implement methods and models, as algorithms, and explicitly curate all data so that it is immediately computable."

This means that:

"...one would be able to ask a computer any factual question, and have it compute the answer."

and:
"That almost gets us to what people thought computers would be able to do 50 years ago!" Says Stephen Wolfram.

Wolfram Research don't muck around either, creating the widely used mathematical and technical computing software Mathematica, so this could be big.

I have a feeling that WolframAlpha is going to blow people out of the water.

I also found these cool phones last week. The Vertu Signature S. I would have one only for the Steampunk styling but they come with a US$40,000 price tag. Ouch.

This is a midweek post! I feel strange now.
